We are proud to offer the many wild and cultivated gifts that come from our 1300-acre farm, sanctuary, and wildlife refuge. Every plant is home-grown. Every purchase you make helps support a kinship approach to land care and the wellbeing of animals and humans. Each product carries the energy and extreme respect for the beings with whom we share this earth. We take what we need ourselves, and make a little extra to share with you. We encourage trade. We’ve been making our own rice, barley, corn, and legume koji for several years, and now offer the power of this culinary miracle in some of our tinctures. Koji-inoculated rice breaks apart carbohydrates into more digestible sugars, and potentially better-absorbed phytonutrients. Most notably, koji softens and sweetens the flavor of the tinctures, much like mirrin (a sweet rice wine) which is made with vodka (or a rice spirit), rice koji, and cooked rice.

We have a limited supply of this pine pollen tincture from our orchard, but are about to make more this spring as soon as the pine trees flower!. This tincture is extracted into Tito’s vodka, at a less than 1:1 ratio of alcohol to pine flowers.

Our process:
We immediately place all pollen bodies in a deep freeze, which preserves the nutrients and causes the pollen bodies to open. Directly from the freezer and packed into a jar, filling the spaces with organic alcohol.

Our tincture is super-potent and always ethically harvested from our pristine mountain farm. As always, all sales go to our animal sanctuary, so your purchase supports not only best craft quality, but also the context of a regenerative, vegan, animal-loving land stewardship ethic.

Pine pollen has been used as an immune-system booster, adaptogen, and to support endocrine function for women, and as hormonal support for both men and women. It possesses a wide spectrum of benefits. We have found it enormously effective for arthritis pain and overall ‘fibromyalgia-like’ symptoms.
